Representative:Yuichiro Amauchi
Amauchi founded the design company CELL DESIGN UNIT in 1990. He established the limited company CELL DESIGN in 2000. His work focuses on designing fresh, playful store interiors, working mainly in the capital area doing shop design and planning work. Since 1999, he has been doing darkroom design for The Darkroom International. He’s in charge of the darkroom design for Noge Hana*Hana.

Iki Morita (full-time lecturer) is working at establishing a new photography practice with Yokohama roots. “creative office tie” was established by Tokyo College of Photography graduates Moeyu Abe and Mizuki Nagata to create a venue for participating in the Media Guild. The group works together with Tokyo College of Photography students and graduates, planning and executing exhibitions, events, workshops, and collaborations with outside artists. It is hoped that by encouraging people do work with photography in Yokohama and Noge, interaction with the local public will lead to better business connections. One goal of the project is that graduates will be able to become financially independent through the business activites here. 
“creative office tie” was founded by two members of the last generation of a bygone era, helping dreams grow and making people smile with childlike humor and very grown-up courage.

Representative: Hisao Saito
Saito is the representative of the non-profit group The Darkroom International which is currently based at Noge Hana*Hana. He works as a professional photographer, making photos of scenes and people in close connection with the locale. The first professional photo studio in the Kanto area was founded in Yokohama by Renjo Shimo-oka (1823 – 1914), and it is with this man’s spirit in mind that Saito works to develop the photo culture of Yokohama. He and other members are currently working on a project where families and individuals use photographs and text to make a photo book illustrating their own personal histories.

Representative: Yoshihiro Kawasaki

Kawasaki is a pioneer of Japan’s field recording community, active in a variety of genres, focusing on the presence of sound and relationships with sound. He works as a producer at satellite radio station St. Giga, and are conducting field recordings and producing a variety of programs. His sound installation works have been displayed at the Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), the Tokyo Metropolitan Museum of Photography, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa and 21_21 Design Sight, as well as producing the Sound & Vision show at ZAIM in Yokohama. He is a lecturer in the Department of Inter Media Art at Tokyo University of the Arts, Department of Moving Images and Performing Arts at Tama Art University, and Wako University’s Department of Transcultural Studies.

Ichikawa has started working at Kanagawa TV in 1972 when the station was created, and created several music and variety shows over the years including “Funky Tomato.” He is well-known a producer of the legendary music event “Japan Jam.” He has become an independent since1987. Since then, he has directed 48 works, produced 34, and written 21 screenplays.

Shirai Takako (singer)
Shirai debuted on CBS Sony in 1981. She became known as “Queen of Rock” from her hardcore live performance style, and was a pioneer for women in pop-rock. In 1988 she moved to London, and has been working singing for television and advertising since moving back to Japan in 1990. She has also won several awards for her narration work. She formed the ROD label in 1999, and released such albums as “Living,” and “HANA.” Additionally, she has written the music and lyrics for Yokohama City’s Kurada Elementary School’s school song. Recently, she has begun participating in symposia and events which focus on international cooperation and environmental issues. She wrote the choral song, “Furusato no Kaze ni Naritai” to commemorate the Kanagawa Prefecture “Year of Hope” in 2001, and was designated the first “Kanagawa Ambassador to the Environment.”

This group, which makes guides to the Yokohama City area, was founded as a lifelong learning group in 1992, and registered itself as a non-profit organisation in 2003. They walk along their self-made courses, looking at the changes of old Yokohama from the perspective of its citizens, sharing historical elements and new information to create their guides. They have won several awards, including the Kanagawa Newspaper Regional Society Program Award, the First Yokohama City Yokohama/People/Town/Design Award, The Yokohama Tourism Convention Bureau Distinguished Service Award, and in 2001, they received public acknowledgement from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport, and in 2005, they were awarded the "Regional Branding Program Grand Prize during the Kinki-Nippon Tourist 50 Anniversary celebration.
